The programme is essentially Lieder before Schubert, and includes Haydn’s cantata Arianna a Naxos. Other composers are C.P.E. Bach, Gluck, Mozart, Schulz and Beethoven. The recital takes place in the principal hall of the palace, which is a delight, white and gold, classicism on holiday.
