Schumann in the Temple
Celebrating the 200th Anniversary of the birth of Robert Schumann (8 June 1810)
A week of concerts to celebrate Schumann’s 200th birthday on June 8 1810
In Middle Temple Hall, on the birthdate itself, the celebrated Austrian baritone Wolfgang Holzmair will sing an all-Schumann/Heine programme, including the great cycle, Dichterliebe.
In the Temple Church, four outstanding young singers join Julius Drake for three early evening concerts, culminating in a performance all together of Schumann’s Spanisches Liederspiel for four voices and piano.
